Ok, I am actually surprised at how many books I've finished this month! (Spoiler alert: it's 17!)

As always, let's check our goal progress for the year first...

The only letters I have left for the 2025 ABC Challenge are Q, V, Y, and Z - the tough ones, of course...but I've got some books lined up for these already! I'm pretty sure I won't meet my goal for reading books I bought this year, but let's at least see how far I can get!

So, what did I even read this month?

Let's dive into the reviews!

Never Never by Serena Valentino - ★★★★☆

What a twist!

Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami

Volume 16 - ★★★☆☆

Volume 17 - ★★★★☆

Volume 18 - ★★★☆☆

Volume 19 - ★★★★☆

Volume 20 - ★★★★☆

Volume 21 - ★★★

Volume 22 - ★★★☆☆

Volume 23 - ★★★☆☆

Volume 24 - ★★★★☆

Volume 25 - ★★★☆☆

The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake - ★★★

I started off really invested in some of the characters but as the book went on I didn’t find myself as invested in the plot. The premise of the book is 6 people are chosen to study and only 5 will be initiated at the end of the year. As I was listening to the book, I found I didn’t care as much about some of the characters and it made it so I didn’t really care who got initiated and who didn’t. But the end of the book REALLY turned things around!!! I’m definitely going to have to pick up the second one soon!

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer - ★★★☆☆

I just finished a reread of this and am keeping my rating consistent at 3 stars. It’s enjoyable and an easy read, but it felt like Bella and Edward barely spent time together before they were declared madly in love. Maybe it’s the pull of them being soul mates but it just kind of came out of nowhere. Otherwise I did enjoy the book same as before.

The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding by Alexandra Bracken - ★★★★☆

I’m glad my book club picked this or I might never have found it. It was so good - funny and a terrific twist at the end. I can’t wait to read the second one.

The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas - ★★★

This started off pretty annoying actually. She is so stubborn and it just made me so annoyed at her. But as the book went on and we learned more about her past and his intentions, it made a lot more sense and I did enjoy the end. Definitely a swoon worthy book.

Fire and Fate by Serena Valentino - ★★★★

This book captured Hades’ voice PERFECTLY! It had all the life and sarcasm as him. I enjoyed how it went back to the beginning of the odd sisters and explained more of their origin. I am definitely curious about the ending……better pick up the next one soon!

Long Live the Pumpkin Queen by Shea Ernshaw - ★★★★☆

This book was so cute and I loved seeing more of Sally and seeing her side of things. This book had good representation of anxiety, especially around unexpected changes in life. And it showed character growth well.
