January 2026 Reading Wrap Up
What a great start to the year! Let's dive into the reviews! The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson - ★★★★☆ Another life changing read! Mark writes this lesson in a way that just resonated so easily with me. It felt like he was just sitting there talking to me while I absorbed everything he said. He gave real and practical examples of not giving a f*ck and how that can look in your life. I think giving these examples makes the content of the book so much easier t

November 2025 Reading Wrap Up
So, what did I even read this month? Let's dive into the reviews! The Poppy War by Nikki Erlick - ★★★★★ I lost track of the amount of times I said “oh sh*t” while reading this book. The twists and connections that are weaved throughout the book are intriguingly written. The book is about a facility called The Poppy Fields where people go to sleep for a month or two to help get past the hardest parts of their grief and wake up on the other side. You’re taken on a journey by pe

October 2025 Reading Wrap Up
Ok, I am actually surprised at how many books I've finished this month! (Spoiler alert: it's 17!) As always, let's check our goal progress for the year first... The only letters I have left for the 2025 ABC Challenge are Q, V, Y, and Z - the tough ones, of course...but I've got some books lined up for these already! I'm pretty sure I won't meet my goal for reading books I bought this year, but let's at least see how far I can get! So, what did I even read this month? Let's di

September 2025 Reading Wrap Up
Wow, I can't believe that September is already over! As we approach the end of the year, I decided to take a look at my 2025 reading goal and see where I stand with it. I am honestly shocked that I am still (mostly) on track. However, some of my other goals are not as on track. I've noticed I've read a lot of books from the library this year. Which is great, but it means I'm not reading the books that I buy (don't tell my husband!). Now, let's wrap up what I read this month.

August Reading Wrap Up
The King of Spring by Collette Carmon - ★★★★☆ I loved so much about this book. The gender swap was good and I loved how Hades is more kind than portrayed in mythology and Persephone (Kore) is more fierce than in mythology. It gave a good depth to the characters and showed how not everyone is who people think they are. I really enjoyed it! Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey - ★★★ ⯪ ☆ Come for Matt, stay for the story. I started it because it was Mathew McConaughey but I finish

May Reading Wrap Up
What a busy month! I finished 6 books... White Rose Painted Red - ★★★★★ The Wild Robot - ★★★★ Battle Angel Alita, Vol. 1 - ★★★ Parasyte, Vol. 1 - ★★★ Kaiju No. 8, Vol. 12 - ★★★★ Hearstopper, Vol. 1 - ★★★★★ ...DNFed 2 books... The Butcher - I DNFed this one after chapter 1. It just wasn't pulling me in, and I found myself not wanting to pick it up again. Call of the Night Vol 1 - This one was actually pretty good. I read about half of it, but it was not what I was expect
